As to how much you should charge, this is an age old question that each person has to answer for themselves. Obviously you have to charge at least enough to cover the materials cost, the cost of "consumables" and your operating costs. After that you have to decide how much you want or need to earn. Loving your work is fine but you cannot work for love unless you have another source of income.
Excellent info, hit the nail on the head there David. Its going to vary for each person since no two shops are alike in the respect of overhead and other operating costs. Do the math and try to take it all into account. You may win some/lose some on the first few jobs but after that you will have developed a good system that works for you.
If at first you don't succeed, look in the trash for the instructions.
