    A Couple of Clocks

I finished up a couple of clocks over the last few days, and thought I'd get some opinions.

The first clock is described as a "Retro Wall Clock" by klockit.com . My wife really loved the design when she saw it in their mailer. It is 44" in diameter, and really fills up the space above the mantel...

The center disk, along with the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock disks are claro walnut burl. The other two woods are maple and cherry. Here is a close-up of the walnut disk...pretty nice grain...

The second clock is the latest of the mantel clocks that I have made. This happens to be my favorite, and I'm really sorry that I have to give it up!! It's a late Christmas Gift for my sister-in-law. This one is made of American and Claro Walnut...

Here is a close-up of the clock top, showing some of the flame and curl in the claro walnut. I'm really happy with the way the finish popped this grain...

    Thanks for looking!!

    Very cool clocks

Nice work on both clocks but the mantle clock is a standout. Claro is the king of walnut!

Very nice. I like the li'l one better too, but we tend towards more classic tastes here.
