I've now had my new laser (40w) for over a month now and have been 'living' with it since! Among the many things that I have already experimented with so far, one that I have really enjoyed is working wth intarsia plans (scroll sawing). Once I converted the plan to vector format (whew!) I found that I could do a lot of different things with the same plan. Here is an example of my first try with a very simple (deliberate) plan. (Sorry for the bad photography)

Two years ago when I got my laser I did about the same...living with the machine
Even today I still find them facinating and I haven't scratched the surface of what the machine can do.
