I had a nasty catch when just about finished with this bowl. Actually had two separate gouges near the rim. So, I decided to just cut three grooves to hide the mess and fill it in with the only thing I had on hand at the time..... Elmers wood filler. I slapped the Elmers to it and let it dry over night and then chucked it up and sanded it down.
Darn thing won't win any artistic awards, but it was saved and it will hold liquids.
