    LN 164 tote & knob question

    Hello Creekers
    I have LN #4 and wanted a rosewood tote & knob for awhile ,and I just found one online ,but its for a LN 164 smoother and the guy whos selling it is not sure if it will fit my #4. Do any of you guys know if it will fit my #4??

    I'm not sure, but you could probably contact LN and they could supply you the definite answer. Give it a shot.

    The tote on a 164 is taller than the #4.
    As for the knob. The 164 has a wider base and is a little shorter than the #4.

    Try making your own.

    There is a lot of information at this site on how to make handles. Best tip - drill the holes first, cut out the handle, and shape to suit. You may mess up a time or two, but think of the skills you will be able to use later.

    One other idea you might consider.

    If you send the wood to LN they will make the tote end knob for you.
    Give them a call and talk to Andrew.

    Thanks for the good words. I've been out of circulation for a while due to a divorce and having to sell the house and buy another.
    Getting ready to start back up on a limited scale and then hope to get back up where I was.
