I bought this from a aircraft interior scrap sale. They said it was macassar ebony, but I've been looking at other macassar I have and I'm starting to believe it is something else. Anyone have any ideas?
Here's a few pics.

I am thinking cocobolo. And if it is, it is quite a nice selection. Could be macassar, but usually it is much more striped, even quartersawn.

Looks like macassar to me. A good face grain shot would help alot. If it is macassar and you got it a good price then kudos. That is very expensive wood.
I could cry for the time I've wasted, but thats a waste of time and tears.
