    Gast Pump Help, Please

    Hi.

I have a Gast 0523 vacuum pump that I bought without a manual. The problem is that I can't read the voltage on the plate. The first number is obliterated and the other numbers are "20" so it could be 120 or 220 volts.

The full Gast number is 0523-P335-G627DAX. I've run a Google with no real success and the Gast site doesn't seem to have the information I need.

My last resort is to wire a 120v plug and give it a try.

Before I do that I was hoping that someone in the creek is familiar with this model.

I'm not familiar with that model so don't take this as gospel, but I'd suggest taking a look at the Amps. If it's 1.5 - 2.5 amps it's probably 220v. If it's 2.5 or greater it's probably 110v.

    John,

I have that same pump and it is 220 volts. Here is a photo of the info on the pump.

    Here is the manual: http://www.gastmfg.com/pdf/OM/23_series_oilless_om.pdf

    Hope this helps.

Thank you! I've seen the help you've provided on the Creek and am amazed at your depth of knowledge.

    Again, Thanks!
