Is a Thomas vacuum pump model 2650CE37-989F (110v) a decent vacuum pump for using for a vacuum chuck system?
I'm trying to get a vacuum chuck system together and I'm not sure what pumps are pretty good for it.
Thanks for all the help

James - do you have any specs on the pump as far as CFM or max vacuum rating?

I bought a nearly identical model (2660CE37-989) recently for a club demo where 220v power isn't available. I had to add a $5 plug to the end of the cord but it fired up immediately and pulls 24" of mercury with no problems.

Here's a link to the specs on the 2660 pump I purchased. I don't know how different the 2660 is from the 2650 but it looks like they both use the same rebuild kit so I have to believe they aren't that different.
