    Hat turning orientation

    does it matter if a wood hat is turned end grain, or face grain? anyone with experience turning hats, i'd be obliged.

    Face grain is how johhannes mikelson does it.

    A hat should definitely be turned face grain. The crown of the hat should be towards the bark side.
