See the Suffolk Machinery website for Timberwolf and you will find a list of blades for specific purposes. I use a 3 tpi, 1/2" Alternate Set blade for green wood on my 18" Rikon and it seems to work well.

I have an 18" Rikon too and I'm about to invest in what I'm expecting to be the perfect balde from Suffolk. They have a bimetal 3/4" x .035 x 2/3 variable pitch. I just learned about it a few days ao, and it is not yet advertised. $60.
