Can't find air compressor combo - am I imagining it?

I felt like I was reading about some really, really cheap air compressor / nailer combo kits here a few weeks ago, but I can't find them. Something like $100 or near that. Might have been Harbor Freight, or Borg, but can't find them now. Wish I had written it down, or perhaps I am just imagining it. I know that cheap tools don't last etc. but I will probably use this not very much.

Have been trying to find a good excuse to buy an air compressor and finish nailer, and came up with one...but perhaps I can't find anything reasonable. I certainly can find the PC $300 one that gets good reviews.

    Thanks all as always.

You may be thinking of the Lowe's / Target deal; C&H compressor and stapler/nailer combo $50 to $100 depending on the deal you got or didn't get. The stapler is so-so and as a brad nailer it is poor as the hammer leaves a staple shaped dent whether you use staples or not. You can minimize it with pressure adjustment but it is real irregular. It does work great for blowing up tires and pool toys which is what LOML wanted.

Costco and Sam's both have Senco and Hitachi combos around here.

What part of the world are you in????

In Cincinnati you can get some Great Deals on CH brand compressors at a recon outlet.

    Tim,

It is a lot easier for us to steer you toward a good deal in your area if we know where you are located.

    Tim,
This one from HF regularly goes on sale for $100 and seems like a good deal. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=40400

The small CH compressor deal doesn't really produce enough air for most tools.
