    Birdhouse Catch

I'm looking for a manufactured simple door catch for a bird house. I've attached a photo of the type of thing I'm after. This one is plastic. I'd prefer something metal but I can't find anything like this anywhere. I've looked at Rockler and Woodcraft with no success. The McMaster-Carr site has a lot of stuff but, unless I'm not calling it by the correct name, they didn't have it either. Any ideas who might sell something like this?

I used to do some picture framing and used very similar fittings to fit removable backs. Bit difficult to get a sense of scale from the pic but they came in lots of different sizes.

You might find them by going to a pro picture framing supplier.

You might also try Van Dykes Restorers Catalog. Very good place to deal with and have a LOT of stuff that is hard to find.
    Thanks & Happy Wood Chips,

It looks a lot like the latch that was used to hold the screen in a screen door. You might try the big box store. It wasn't black though but I don't think the birds will mind. Steve
