Hardware Source?

I would like to build some wooden coat hangers (I know, they're inexpensive to buy, but I have some scraps to use up). Anyone know of a source for the wire hooks that would screw into the wooden hanger?

Why use a metal hook? You're a woodworker.

You could cut the hook out of good plywood like baltic birch. The bottom of the hook would also act as a spline holding the arms (shoulders?) of the hanger.
