I just took this one off the bench this morning..... Now, the wife & I are going around to show it off to a handful of local cigar shoppes and have lunch somewhere...

It's going to be a fun afternoon.

This is going to be a fun day!

Fantastic piece, and thanks for taking the time to document the build.

Question about how you did the turquoise....did you insert the brass, fill with turquoise, then cut the lid (cutting through the brass)? If so, how did you cut it....band saw?

Yes...that's exactly what I did. I used a 60 tooth freud saw blade on my table saw. I did some research about cutting brass with a table saw and everything pointed that it would be fine - since brass is a soft, non-ferrous metal.

I will say that the saw cut right through it, without a hitch. Other than the stress factor going on in my brain......
