    Turned Deer Grunt Call

Has anyone ever made a turned deer call? I bought the parts from Hut products, and downloaded instructions from another site on how to turn them. Anyone have any tips?

    Thanks!

Jeff I would also like to make some calls !
I looked at the Hut site and can't make out much there with the correct things that are needed? I have a mandrel but they say something about a rubber expandable bushing to make them? you would think that they would have somekind of pic to show them and some more info on how to!
hope someone will give you/me an answer

    Jim,

Go to the http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/. Click on project kits. On this page they have kits for duck calls. If you go to one of the kits, they have a PDF of an instruction sheet on how to turn the calls. It was really helpful in deciding what to order from HUT.

From hut, In order to turn a deer call you would need at minimum, the Call turning kit number 3000. And a deer call blank. Cocobola is 3102. Spend some time on HUT's site, they have a lot of neat stuff for calls.
