I bought this at a flea market because it contained two very good "F" clamps. Does anyone know what it is used for? Is there some great use for it that I should know before I grind off the rivets and use it as two regular clamps?

By looking at it you would clamp two pieces and then move the top leaver to bring them together, but this would only be a guess, did I win anything. Cheers Ron
I believe it is a miter clamp. As Ron said clamp onto the two pieces and then tighten the third handle to draw them together.
It looks like if you are carful, you can get the clamps off without destroying the initial intent of this device whatever it may be.

It looks very much like a custom made piece from Wetzler Clamp Co.
Probably a welders clamp for some special fabricating job.
Just a guess, but I've seen similar.
Would work well for holding two pieces end to end and drawing them together by tightening the center screw.
