    Fun turning projects

I was grilling over the weekend and got inspired to try something a little different. I've worked on these the last 3 nights, just having fun spending some time in the shop.

The hamburger is a bun made from Ficus, the patty is Walnut that has been textured, the tomatoes are Padauk, and the onions are Holly.

The hot dog is Sapele with a Curly Poplar bun.

    Thanks,
    Jason

Clever. Very clever. I like it. So what do you do with them now? Table center pieces when you have people over for grilled dinner in the backyard?

Those are really original, you must have had a lot of fun making them.

Nice to get to that point in turning where if you can think of it - you can turn it! Great use of imagination and great conversation pieces!

Very creative. Nothing like a high fiber diet, a little tuff to chew though.

I think you are onto something !

Jason, I think there may be a market out there for ecclectic turnings of food design! Some avant garde art gallery is just waiting for a guy like you to bring in your wonderful ideas! They look great and one never knows what lurks in the mind of an artist!
