How do you guys rough cut Formica? I usually do it on the table saw, I go bigger than I want because of chip outs, but it works. Any body have a slick idea, that I can use?

I do it with the ts as well. I do add a small piece of aluminum angle taped to the fence so the laminate wont slide under the fence. I just made 3 countertop sections this weekend.

bull dogs work very well also.
I need to clarify this "tin snips"

laminate trimmer and a straight edge
In a pinch a sheet rock knife and a straight edge
multible passes with the knife
tin snips work too
TS with a plastics/laminate blade. Piece of MDF against the fence with my Rockler sacrificial fence clamps, and tight to the saw top. Long outfeed table on the back side to keep the laminate from dropping and breaking a corner. Jim.
