Woodworking sites of interest in Tahoe area

I'm heading to Tahoe the end of the week for a few days R&R... followed by a few days in the Sacramento area.
Any woodworking areas of interest in the Tahoe/Sacramento area?
I'm very familiar with the Napa/Sonoma/Coastal areas so I'm really just inquiring about the Tahoe area...
    Thanks,
    Roger

I don't know if it qualifies or not, but just as you come off Hwy. 50, where it intersects the 395 just outside Carson City, there is a big chainsaw carving shop on the left hand side. Hours vary but there's some really interesting stuff sitting outside.

You might pick up some woodworking ideas from touring through the summer homes like Valhalla and the others right at Camp Rich. That's on the 89, as you go towards Emerald Bay. Go just past Camp Rich and look for the signs.

As for supplies, there's the Woodcraft store in Reno. Not much of anything closer for exotic woods or tools.
