I'm headed to Houston next week for a business trip.
Any cool woodworking-type places that I should check out while I'm there?

Well, we have a Rockler, two Woodcraft, several good, but not cheap hardwood dealers. That's about it, not very sexy.
I'll be in Boston for my daughter's graduation in May. I'll ask the same question of you.
There is also a place called The Circle Saw that sells a lot of woodworking equipment. Joiners, planers, table saws, scroll saws, miter saws, and ect. I have bought several major pieces of woodworking equipment from them. I think they are still in business. You take Ella Blvd off loop 610 just before you get to hwy. 290 on the North side of Houston going West.
