Howard, that is a really neat project! How did you accomplish the logos? They appear to wrap around the chamfer a bit.
Man, when you guys build shelves, you are serious!
I thought the flat shelf I cut out of MDF and rounded the edges looked pretty good after my wife got it sealed, painted and stenciled and we mounted it with some corbels from the Borg.
The logos are lasered. I had to cut the center out so he could fit the pieces into his machine. I put a couple of walnut strips on each side of the center and glued it back together with dowels. The middle logo was very close to routered chamfer I had to be careful and not sand into the letters.
The design is a floating shelf out of Woodworking magazine Chris Schwarz. Although this wasn't done by hand!!
Someday I will have to learn how to do inlays.
