Thanks for all the kind words gentlemen.

Don, I didn't have any trouble getting the movement going. I did have trouble _getting_ the movement, but that's another story. If anyone is interested in clock movements, I can tell you via PM who NOT to buy from.

What a fantastic project. A wonderful selection on the wood as well.

Very nice work, really a nice warm finish

    Did you make the spindles?

A piece to really be proud of.

Richard Wolf and Mike Spanbauer turned spindles for me. I really appreciate how difficult those things are to make now. Thanks again guys!

Actually, I have 2 things to say to you about your project...

    (1) As a woodworker, you did a WONDERFUL job! It is absolutely GORGEOUS! Congrats!

    (2) However, as a marriage counselor...(and you might not want to hear this, but)...you may have done irreparable damage to your marriage. I mean, if this was done for your 4th anniversary...what is your wife going to expect for your 5th (or 25th, for that matter)?!!!

    Good luck with that!

    1) Thank you!

    2) About half way through this project I had that thought. What's next year? Curly maple bonnet top highboy? Seymour buffet? Gah! Where does it end?

Hey Walt. Unfortunately, woodworking's going to be on the back burner for a while. My wife and I are starting a small business. Hopefully, I'll find some time, but I suspect it'll be a while before I'm back in the shop.
