Mirror color fill ...

Can anyone direct me to a good source for a brand or type of paint to color fill the back of a mirror after lasering? I would be concerned somewhat about the paint separating from the mirror's original coating after time and also UV fading issues.

Does anyone have any sample pictures or hints for which mirror products
might be good to start with? Do photos work well if your not concerned about engraving time?

I know this question have probably been ask many times but just a thread to follow would be appreciated.

I just use a good spray paint after lasering and it works quite well. This is one I did for my son.

When I engrave my mirrors I use artists acrylic paint, no smell, easy to apply and looks good. Apply with small roller two coats. Works for me.

Nah, it's the sky! Take a picture with the sky in the background (maybe a more cloudy day would have been more appropriate) and you get a good photograph.

The Black Krylon fusion spray also works well with mirrors..

I use the least expensive spray paint $2-$3 a can. I've never had any issues, even when using multiple colors.

OK, here's something new and different that I have used and love. Get yourself some Mylar in several colors and mix and match!! The last mirror I did was for an upscale "horsey place" and they wanted it to look like the coins used in the logo, so I found some "crinkled" gold looking mylar and just put it behind the mirror. They REALLY liked the effect. Anyway I just wanted to share my trade secrets. PS don't tell no-one

Hotfoil foil works pretty well too.. I just pull some off the roll, and stick it behind..Here's a couple of simple line art drawings backed up with blue metalic foil, the type used for hot stamping.. It's just laid behind the etched mirror to add a nice contrast..
