Anybody have experience with CMT's panalign strips?

I like to use rubber spacers when assembling frame and panel doors - usually spaceballs or the barrel shaped rubber spacers that Lee Valley sells. I just ran out, and was going to order some more when I noticed CMT makes a .25"x25"x1" strips to do the same thing. I like the idea of strips because they won't roll under the heaviest thing in my shop the second my back is turned!

Does anyone have experience with them?

    Thanks,

    Dave

The Panalign strips work very well. I used to use Space Balls, but switched to the Panalign strips. They are significantly softer (i.e., more compressible) than Space Balls, giving you more latitude in tolerances between the panel and the grooves (though firm enough to keep the panel centered). They're also better than Space Balls about staying in place in the groove (e.g., for glue-up) if the groove is wider than they are.

Yes, I have used them for years. More recently I have gotton rolls of 1/4" weather stripping and just cut 1" sections.
