Cole jaw thickness

I am thinking about making a set of Cole jaws. Could somebody please tell me the thickness of a large set of Cole jaws?? I'm guessing it's about 1/4".

I have made a couple of sets and used 3/4".

I'm going try to make them out of aluminun. I'd like to know the thickness of the factory made jaws. If that doesn't work out, I'll make some out of wood. Depending on the thickness of the aluminum, it may be cost prohibitive.

My Nova Cole Jaws are 1/4".
