    Custom Closet Organizers - plans?

Has anyone seen any plans kicking around the internet that they would like to share? Thinking like Ikea sort of looking thing/cubbie system for a smallish coat closet.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

You might also want to watch Wasted Spaces. They did a couple of episodes on closets. You might pick up some ideas about customizing there.

I built this one for my sons. I'd have to look for magazine that I built it from....Hm .... Viewing in my album might be easier for you.

If it's a "small" area, I think you are better off with the wire rack systems at HD or Lowes. They are quite functional.

I have some of the wire systems and I don't particularly care for them. I am looking for something that has some bulk.

you can also "cheat" and go to the closet companys websites where you can design you dream closet. some of those provide enough details to steal for your own making. There is also an outfit that will ship your complete design in whatever material you want ready to assemble yourself but it's a bit $pendy.

I used to hate the wire shelving systems. They just seemed too cheap to me. Then I had the opportunity to paint endless built-in closet systems in a bunch of McMansions behind trigger-happy carpenters who didn't know what it meant to scribe. Now I don't mind the wire systems. Not to mention, the wire racks don't collect near as much dust...
