Took a couple of days to put it together. A pocket screwed frame and then route out the areas to be paneled and square out the corners with a chisel. Fluted pilasters were made with a 3/4" corebox bit set to a depth to produce a 5/8" wide flute. Just a plunge router and fence.
Here is the frame, virtual then real:
Put the flutes and plinths on using glue and screws from the rear, then the plinth molding and the head molding were put on using 2P-10 glue.
Here it is in the spray room. Still haven't installed the panels, makes it a lot easier to finish them separately.
After a seal coat and 2 top coats I put the panels in. The crown under the mantle will be applied in the field. The area behind it will be used for screwing it to the wall and then the crown will cover it.
The mantle goes in between cabinets and will have no return
