Found in a box of accumulated stuff in the shop. It's aluminum; radius of a 10" sawblade (give or take), 1/8" thick. Small hole (second pic) is 1/4".
I have no idea what this is. A little help?

Mid 80's Dewalt RAS blade guard.
odd ... never been a dewalt RAS anywhere near here. do have an old craftsman, but no idea how it would mount.
It does look like a RAS guard. I don't recall which brands used that type of guard.

Any idiot can see it a horse shoe for elderly horse shoe players.
Wait................Did I just call myself an idiot?
Regards, Rod.
How about Black & Decker, same as Dewalt 770 Powershop

sunuvagun. you've answered another puzzle piece by posting those fotos. the (apparent) kickback preventer (post with feet on the end) was another find that i was wondering about.
i tried putting both on the craftsman RAS that i have. neither fit at all. oh well... thanks for the education.

Looks like the worlds largest "Jesus" clip.
Most people call them "E" clips. That is until they send one across the room.
Or drop it into the worlds largest 2-stroke crankcase.
That's a BIG wrist pin I tell ya.
I think both of those items are reasonably sought after (if not too pricey) by people over on OWWM.org - you may want to post a FS in the "Bring out your Dead" forum - price high and lower it if you get no bites.
(I have a Dewalt RAS but I have an anti-kickback pawl and I don't need one of those silly horseshoes, so no personal interest on my part)
Regards,
Josh
