Thread: bunkbed accesories.

    Smile bunkbed accesories.

We bought this bunkbed for my youngest boys room. He is 3 and is not quite ready for the top bunk. SO made a rail that slides on the edge of the bed to help retain child in bed for safety!
Also bed did not have ladder so made that as well and used metal strapping to make brackets for it to hang on the edge also.
Very simple project but very enjoyable and satisfying knowing it is going to be used and for a great little boy!

Well Chris, your son certainly looks like he's happy with your craftsmanship and that's what counts the most, right?! Although both pieces are nice additions, I really like the safety rail on the top bunk. That's a real neat idea! Good job!

Looks good. That should keep him from rolling off while sleeping. Just be prepared - at some point he will go OVER the rail. It's just a boy thing.
