Question How does one price a log in the field

How does one set a price on a log? it's freshly cut, and from the top portion which has the large braches cut off, so its not great for straight flat sawn wood, but for turners it would be fine for bowls and stuff. Does the cost come from the bd ft in the log - which in this case lets say X bd ft - but then the quality is not #1. Any wood brokers??

[Price of firewood in dollars] - [0.4319 X distance from the road in inches + 8 X the number of beads of sweat to get it there] = Total

Now if you must cut it up on the site be sure to subtract the fuel surcharge.

Or you could offer $10.00 for it as it lays, if it would be worth it to you. (insert your own number)

If it won't make boards, I don't see the point of figuring bd.-ft.

If it's Walnut or some highly figured desirable turning stock - send me the address and I'll make the deal for you:-)
