    Pair of Spalted Maple HF's...

These vessels, both from the same chunk of wood, have an unusual spalting, so I thought that I'd post them. Dia is about 7 inches on both. Collars are Bolivian Rosewood.

Due to an illness I haven't been in my shop for a couple of months. These were turned some time ago.

Wally, those look great, and some of the most interesting wood I have seen. Beautiful colors, and the interaction of the growth rings with the spalting has created some very attractive patterns and color.

Hope you get back to the shop soon!

Wally, I wish you the very best in your recuperation. Everything is gorgeous about both of these vessels. Spalting, colors, forms and the collars. Extremely nice work!
