Donny, go to your profile page, and click User CP (along the top of the menu bar.) There is a link on the left under settings and options for avatar. You can upload from there. And, yes, you can upload any of the formats normally accepted by SMC, including a jpg.

I looked and found the place to look for uploading avatars and looked in my pics and most all of them is 188-195kb.Will the forum automatically resize it to fit or how does that work?Is there somewhere I can look at avatars that are already set up?I'm not a big computer person so bare with me.
