    Maple and Walnut desk

Heres a Maple and Walnut Desk I just finished for a nook. Top and legs are 8/4 maple. Stretcher and dowels are walnut.

Heres the top. It has one curly piece in the middle.

Interesting design. I like it. It has a whimsical "pre-school" sort of a flavor but the thickness and dimensions give it a solid stance. Very cool.

Thats a nice.. simple.. sturdy and functional design. I really like the simple approach you took as the function is definitely there and not much to get in the way of the function.

    Great job...

Thanks, also the sides are dead flush and smoothed well. Makes the transition nicely.

You know, I like it. The circles in the sides and the simple clean construction really work. Great job.
