    My first gloat. Free Tool....kinda....

Have got a ton of great deals before but never gloated but I'm proud of this one.

I do computer work for a living so I constantly have computers and laptops laying around and I fix them for people and if they do not pay me I end up keeping them til they can or just keep them indefinitely.

Came across this ad on CL for Makita 10" Dual Sliding Compound Miter Saw for $300. Clicked on it and looked at the pictures and it included the Ryobi Miter Saw Stand. Thought it was a great deal for $300 and looked closer and saw "will trade for laptop"....... Wow! Ok, traded him for a laptop that I had sitting around that didn't cost me a thing! So basically to me, that means FREE TOOL!!!!!

Cool! I got a car that way once. I traded an old CGA monitor and an empty IBM XT case for an 82 Toyota Tercel with a slippy transmission and an engine that used 1 quart of oil every 100 miles. My husband drove it for 2 years before we sold it for $40. So we made money on the deal, if you don't count all the used oil....

Heck of a trade! Those Makitas are really the cadillac of miter saws in my opinion.

That was an excellent trade and probably both people were very happy.

You are one lucky guy... CL around here is totally worthless... I think they go out and buy stuff new... double the price and try to sell it...

Thanks for the congrats everybody and thanks Harold for my first official "You Suck" comment. That's about the best deal I've ever seen on CL. I've got some decent deals on there and some pretty good ones. But other than that CL around this area usually sucks too.

Now let's see if I can find a free Freud blade for it
