    The Trio

Some music stands in Curly Maple and Wenge. Ebony and brass knobs.

One for my brother who ordered it for his wife.
One for my other brother for a wedding present.
One for my Mom for Mother's Day/ birthday coming up.

All of them are successful violinists. Amazing! Im so proud of them.

The finish is Valspar zenith precat lacquer gloss. 4 coats then polished.

Those are absolutely gorgeous. Do you have a pattern to follow or did you make it up as you went?

Thank you so much for the nice comment.

These are the latest version of my music stand. I built a few last year in leopardwood. pics on my website. I made a few refinements and feel these are much nicer. I drew them on paper, then build them in 3d sketch up. by the time I finish the sketch up 3d they are already built (in my head)

I can then go to the shop and start looking at the wood. The wood takes over from there. If I build off of a set of drawings and a cut list, start marking up the wood and God forbid just start cutting off pieces of wood I can never see where each piece needs to come from. I know where I need to end up and how I get there with each piece is usually a bit different depending on the boards I have to work with. This doesnt mean that I cant do things efficiently though.

Beautiful pieces Eiji. Any of you who haven't been exposed to Mr. Fuller's work should check out his web site. Very nice stuff.

I'm a professional musician (piano) and I can see and feel the appreciation in these stands. Nice work.
