    First intricate inlay attempt

    I have done straight inlays before but here is my first attempt at something with curves and a different design. Made this trinket box for my fiance as a bribe for spending so much time in the shop

    Nice job. I'm practicing on inlays myself. How did you get the points of the ears so sharp?

    The bunny was cut using a regular coping saw and then I traced around it and chiseled the shape in the maple, glued the bunny head down and then sanded til flush. One of the ears did have a bit of chip out but once i sanded, it pretty much blended in
