    Maple Bowl

My 7th turning... Approx 8" wide x 3" tall finished with General Finishes Salad Bowl Finish.

Pictures leave a bit to be desired, I know.

Very nice bowl Kevin. I really like the shape and the outside contour.

Kevin - Welcome to the Creek!

Interesting bowl! It's hard to turn a form like that - looks like you did pretty good!

Looking forward to seeing more of your work!

Nice bowl Kevin. I like it. Couple of easy photo things to try: use a white background like a couple layers of old white sheet. Shoot the same photos and don't crop quite so close. Let the white space surrounding your bowl "frame" it. Compare photos.

Nice bowl!! And, a beautiful piece of maple. Is the bottom a separate piece? Appears the grain changes, but it may just be the form.

    Thanks everyone.

John, yes the bottom is a separate piece. I actually blew through the side originally, so I cleaned it up and added another piece just to see if I could save it. I'm pretty happy with the way it came out, other than forgetting to line up the grain on the two pieces when I glued them together.

Welcome to SMC Kevin. Really nice bowl out of some great looking wood.
