Can I use a newsreader here?

I want to use a forum newsreader such as XanaNews rather than the browser.

Can anyone please tell me the news server name to use?

Thanks Bill, but not quite the same. I am trying to get away from using a browser. The newsreader goes direct to the messages and skips all the fluff.

SawMill Creek is an html based service. A Usenet News client like Agent is built to access a whole different protocol.

Skipping the fluff as you say defeats the whole purpose of being here, doesn't it?

Most newsreaders now can also grab the RSS feed. If yours doesnt, then you can always pick up a rss reader and load that instead..

Be advised that the RSS feed here is tentative. Should a lot of people start using it we would have to disable the feature because our current server cannot handle a major increase in data traffic during peak periods.
