    Creeker Visit - Keith Starosta

Creeker Keith Starosta and his lovely partner in crime, Krista, paid a visit today. They were up in PA with family for the holiday weekend. We had a great chat and it was really nice to meet a fellow I often have IM conversations with. The highlight of the visit was when he quietly asked if he could try his hand at the "spinny thing"...a request promptly granted. (Whoo hoo...another one will be assimilated and his spouse is also a possiblity for membership in the Cult of the Revolving Wood!!!!! )

A huge thanks to Jim for being a very gracious host. We had a great time visiting with you and your lovely wife. At one point during the shop tour, I picked up a beautiful spalted maple vessel that Jim had turned, and my wife instantly fell in love with it. Jim commented that he wasn't happy with the way it came out, and shocked Krista by giving it to her. The entire trip home, she just shook her head trying to figure out what could be wrong with it. She loves it!

After I put down turning tool and marveled at how much fun it was, Jim went into the house to get a couple of turning videos he was going to give me. It was at that point that I heard some of the most beautiful words that have ever come out of LOML's mouth, "I think that I could get in into this turning stuff..." Sweeeeeeeet.......

    Thanks again, Jim!!
