Abyserated Child Returns

The Moment you've been waiting for. You can all breath now. It took a while but I am snow boarding down the slippery slope, carving all my turns with grace and stile, getting the rush of long gossamer, translucent, shavings.
Started class yesterday and the instructor is taking us through each step by the hand. Class is one of many offered at the school I volunteer/work at. Great destination vacation location!!!! Come visit. I'll show you around.

It's all fun. More details to follow.

Wow! Color coded tool handles - what a thought!! I could put red on the ones I get catches with, and then put....... well, don't have any left for the other colors!!!

Tyler, you rather dwarf that little Jet lathe - I hope there is something considerably larger in your future!!!

If you've been "abysserated" it means someone shoved you into "The Abyss". It's another way to say you've been sucked into The Vortex.

Congratulations on the new position Mike!

The earth is trembling out here. I thought I saw a reply from a Moxey guzzler.

My dear friend Andy! It's nice to see you posting! I miss your banter.

I'll take two aspirins in the morning.

Hi Captain T !!

The school has many courses that look interesting, wish it was closer. Darrell & I and a couple of other co-workers were up there last fall visiting the harbor. Very pretty area.

Somewhere along Hwy 61 between Lutsen and Grand Marais is a fur/jewelry shop that also sells antlers. Stocked up on some for turning pens, etc. Can't remember the name of the place. Maybe email me or facebook Darrell if you know the place I'm talking about.

If every day was "another day in paradise" here, you must be in 7th heaven up there...;-D

A days worth of effort and a ton of wood chips.
We're using fresh cut northern paper birch.
An ample supply as there is a beetle killing them all off.
A storm took it's toll last winter too.
Getting a lot of info on sharpening, harvesting, preserving and safety.
Good instructor.

Andy, I am SO glad to see you back - I think I sent you a PM not long ago to try to find out if you were/are okay. I've missed you.

Ken, I agree that the Earth must be shaking a little. I was so glad to see John Hart back on the boards, then Tyler shows up, and now Andy. It's great to see so many familiar names here and now that I'mback too, maybe we can get another auction going----what do you say, Andy?
