Thread: Dresser - Two years and a lot learned

    Very nice, it all works together to form a pleasing piece of furniture.
    Yes, woodworking can be hard, for me it can be a struggle with my own peculiarities more than working with the wood.

    I agree. The process of getting it from my head to a piece of furniture is a tough one. I work in IT and with computers there is always the option to "undo" something you have done.

    Unfortunately with wood, there is no option to undo! If you cut too short once, its too short until you change the overall design or cut a new piece. Also, you can make a perfect piece and still manage to screw it up by applying a bad finish.

    I suppose it all comes down to experience, but I sure have respect for people than can execute a project from design to finish without visible blunders.

    Also, if anyone wants this plan, I think I have an exploded diagram which will get you in the right direction as far as dimensions go. I would provide the link, but it looks like Popular Mechanics no longer has the plan available online.
