    Simple Cherry Shaker Style Table

This is a Shaker style table I just completed for our bedroom. It was designed to match some other pieces of “wormy cherry” in the room.

Yes…I know the Shakers would never have used Isoloc joints… I was having fun. I like to hide little features for my kids to find and they like the little isoloc joints.

Nothing fancy here. Just a simple table with a tung-oil finish and wax. The top also has several coats of varnish to provide some liquid protection. Secondary wood is good old fashioned white pine.

Nice table, Richard, and the cherry is a beautiful color. I kinda like the Isoloc joints, too!

Did you use the MLCS FastJoint system. If yes, can u comment on its accuracy and ease of use.

Nice looking table. I really like the isoloc joints, they add a little flair.
I was sad because I had no shoes,
Then I saw a man who had no feet

Hey Shawn. I used a Leigh D4R jig with the Isoloc template. I've no experience with the MLCS FastJoint system. The Leigh system is super easy and once dialed in you can make these joints all day with minimal effort.

Sorry I can't comment on the MLCS system.
