    Necessity is the mother of invention. (small vacuum hose from Home Depot, some PVC, and two 1x4"s suspended from the ceiling.

    When making dado cuts you need to take the guard with dust collection off and switch to the riving knife splitter.

    According to SawStop (it's in the manual), you can't use the riving knife when cutting dadoes. Dado sets are 8" and the riving knife is designed for a 10" blade. It would project too high above the blade. The good thing is, there is no need for a riving knife when cutting dadoes as there is nothing to 'split'.

    nice photos of the dust arm and its attachment. I think the option is nice for individuals running smaller dust collectors that don't have the overhead drop ports to use. Thanks.
