Hmm... I live approximately 900mi from Steve Schlumpf as the crow flies. But, as the lift capacity of a crow is minimal at best I feel driving distance (1200mi) would be a more practical expression of my distance from Steve.

I was going to walk to Steve's, but I found that, while I'm in SC, it is 1169.64 miles. Of course, I'm headed to my place in VA, where it is much closer to his house... a mere 1021.81 which is doable, though at my age (72) it might take more than a day.

Well I live 313 miles southwest of Steve, a good 6 hour drive if I take my time. But if I drive like a nascar nut the possibilities are endless! There are a few variables that can change the timing, like how many deer, bear, turkey, possibly an elk or moose may cause fast decelleration at any time. Thus adding to the total time on the road or flying through the air into the ditch! So I must build a large critter catcher for my F250 to keep moving at a steady rate of speed. If built correctly the box will be filled with lots of wild critters for grilling and possibly horn for pen turning! I better get busy as I would like to make the trip sometime this year!
A man of his stature and good nature, are well worth the miles and mishaps to get to Harvey MI.

I have made a very important determination in my ability to transcend both space and time.
I have nearly not enough time to do all that I want to do, and I don't have the space for it if I did.
But, I have determined that I'm 1072 miles from Steve Schlumpf, and that's almost as cool as saving a bundle on car insurance!!
