Given I have been lusting after a drum sander, let me be the first to say you truly, absolutely, undoubtedly... suck.

    Roger,
Let's get this thread back on track. That's an amazing gloat. I searched CL here for close to a year for a drum sander before I finally broke down and bought a 22/44 new when it went on sale. Congrats. You are gonna love that machine. Have fun.

Roger: It's good to finally see a WW from Ne. Even if you did beat me to it!! I saw the ad last night before I went to bed. My granddaughter lives north of Seward, wife and I had her for the weekend, and I was going to call the guy before we took her home today. Ad was already gone darn it! Good score. Greg

Nice score. I got the same deal a couple of years ago. I happened to be on Craigslist at around 11PM and it popped up. I figured the seller was still up, so I called him and sure enough he answered. I was at his house at 8AM and he had already received several calls by then. Too bad for them!

These are great sanders. My only complaints are that the older sanders have a 2 1/4" hole in the dust shroud, which is really too small. Fortunately, you can buy the whole shroud with a 4" opening from Jet for around $14. Then, there is also a learning curve, where you can stall the motor and grind a divot in your wood if you're not careful to take very small passes. You'll learn what to do pretty quickly.

I just used mine yesterday to sand down a bunch of cabinet doors in order to get the joints even. You can accomplish in a few minutes what would take hours with a hand sander or plane, and no tear out. I smile every time I use mine.

    Wow, great snag.

Great to see that a lot of other Creekers had an eye on it, too. Makes that gloat juuuuuust a little more sweet, huh?
    I drink, therefore I am.
