    New toolrest from Jeff Nicol

Saw one of these on Jeff's lathe in a post here on the creek. He said he was making a batch up, so others here may have gotten theirs this week. 15" long, 6" tall (key for scale). Can't wait to scratch the paint.

    Looks nice...for getting down deep...or ??

Is that for reaching down inside a HF or vase? or ??
If Jeff made it, it must be stout. Good thing you got it before his current break I think he's taking.
Laugh at least once daily, even if at yourself!

Tim, yes, Jeff recommends it for deep hollowing. I get alot of vibration when I turn deep forms (which I only am able to do occasionally, hard to find big wood) with my tool waaayy off the rest. Feels real stout, yes - solid square cross section steel.
