Went to a wedding 43 years ago today--

It was hot, rainy, humid and the very best day of my life. You have heard the old expression time flies when you're having fun--we know it to be true. Our son starts training for a new job on Monday. We are both retired now and life is great

Does your wife know that you remember that party so well?

Congratulations! I hope the next 43 years are just as good or better!

Congratulations to you and your wife Ron
I was sad because I had no shoes,
Then I saw a man who had no feet

Thanks for the kind replies. I still have certain athletic responsibilities with the school system where I taught for 42 years. That's right--I had a football game tonight. Becky's been used to things like this so we will celebrate tomorrow evening. There's this really nice out of the way steak place in Terre Haute she likes. By the way we won our game 34-7. Life is good!

A wife who lets you put football first and then wants to go out to a steak place? No wonder you are so happy!

We just enjoyed celebrating 7-- there is nothing better than a good marriage!

    Congratulations.

  10. Congratulations. It's a long road isn't. I just celebrated 33 last week and it couldn't get any better.

Tonight she is happy. A really good steak and a 130 mile round trip to one of her favorite cities. We did a little shopping and went through one of the nicest parks in Indiana if not the mid west. Oh Steve, congrats on #7.

    Ron,

    I gotta know...which state park?

One of my favorites in the area is Spring Mill State Park near Mitchell.

If they were going from Indy to Terre Haute and back, my guess is that they went to Turkey Run S.P.

It's not a state park guys. Deming Park in Terre Haute is a great place--rolling with ponds, well maintained, clearly marked paths if you want to use them, and most important to me is that LOML enjoys going there!
