    micro jig splitter

    undefined

Is it a good idea to use the mj splitter, if you use the Grr-Ripper system? Or, maybe I should say is the mj splitter necessary when using the grr-rippers?

    Thanks,

Hmmm...that is sort of your call. I have the splitter and use it about 50% of the time...usually when the amount of contact between one of the pads on the grripper and the wood is minimal (narrow) Keep the pads on your grripper clean and "sticky". You can also just leave the MJ splitter on your saw and use it when you are not using the grripper, but when I am not using the grripper, I prefer my Delta removable splitter with the pawls.

I don't have the gripper, just the splitter. Splitter works great. If it gets in the way of dados and such, just pop it out. It has saved me a couple of times, wood trying to pinch the blade.
