Rasmus, that is some VERY clean work! Great detail, and the replication is superb. Thanks for posting these - good to see some spindle work thrown in every now and then.

  3. Very crisp detail. Replication of work, without mechanical means, is difficult; you did a superb job.

    Thumbs up

Super work, Rasmus! I know you have SHARP tools. I made several handles out of dry oak last winter; it is not forgiving. Your detail work is precise and crisp. Way to set the bar up high!!

Nice work! I am glad to see some spindle work popping up from time to time.

I am wondering how you tackled the straight 'pomel' at the base of the spindles. I have used skews for making pomels, but yours look just as clean and consistent, and if you used a different tool that would be good to have in my arsenal.

    Thanks!

Very nice work Rasmus! I like the design! As others have noted - your detail work is very clean and precise! To match 4 of these is no easy feat! Well done! Thanks for sharing!

    Man thank you all !

Matt : the work i skew lots of skew. i love my skews and use them as much as possible.

the mach is simple enough. lots of measurements i use a Galbert Caliper, and 4-5 venier calipers and patience the entire work took 8 hours to complete. all included.
