    Great looking work. Do worry about the mitered corners of the top opening up from expansion of the center panel, or isn't wood expansion a big deal on a small box?

    As always gorgeous! Love the maple and walnut box, the grain pattern is very cool.

    Great work, Ed. I noticed on two of the boxes you used two "stays" (maybe the wrong name but I'm talking about the hinge like device that holds the lid up) and on one box you only used one. Any deep meaning or thought behind when you use one and when you use two?

    I like the slanted tray look...didn't yours used to be straight?

    Any trick to getting those nice slanted inserts?
    Wood is very beautiful in tree form. Wood is very useful in burning form. I merely try to make my work honor the first, avoid the latter, and aim for the middle: beautiful and useful.
